Youth Development Curriculum
The MARLYN Institute offers a process that facilitates and supports a youth through the transition into adulthood with a positive self-image and a clear view of his or her role in their community and society at large. Coming of Age programing is ancient practice occurring in many civilizations (Owens, 2007). The adaptation of Youth Development Curriculum and the My Life My Way Curriculum is based on ancient Native American, African and other worldview traditions where children and youth are involved in learning and skills-based program that leads to the bestowal of adulthood through the accomplishment of some rite or task.
